First I should start off with my Mother In Law's wedding. It was February 26 and we really had a blast. I for one am excited to add lots of members to the family; a father-in-law, 6 step-sibling-in-laws (including the married-in ones), and 4 step-niece/nephews. We had a bachelorette party, rehearsal dinner, and of course full-blown wedding with reception. We even got to bring the kids and that is where we got some great daddy-daughter and mommy-son pics. The kids were awesome too, Julie helped us a ton and I could not have asked for happier babies!
Notice my fun flower- I made those for all of the bridesmaids and the bride! (The bride's were white orchids with shell and rhinestones). My lovely jewelry came from WAR- "Women At Risk"- an awesome organization that supports women who were victims of human trafficking all over the world. I will get all my special occasional jewelry from them from now on, and Lori and Jeff chose them to receive the benefits of their Dollar Dance.
We've gotten to spend a lot of time with cousins lately, particularly Caden and Reese. I love that my babies are getting to know their cousins so well and that Reese and Caden just love their twinner cousins. Reese even begged to "hold" the babies, and Caden has spent hours entertaining them. So fun!!
With the warm weather we've been having the neighbor kids have been out in droves. We still do our best to see each other a lot during the winter but it's so much easier when kids can just run in and out of the houses while they play outdoors. This pic was taken on our first really nice day when Anna, Trevor, and Kyle stopped by. Kyle loves babies in general, particularly his baby brother Trevor and Elijah and Evelyn! I think Eli is a fan of him too :)
Um. This picture has no particular story...it's just cute a cute one of my happy, drooly, boy.
Oh Miss Evelyn. Part one of this picture is her adorable suit. I picked this up on my girls' weekend at Gymboree. I told myself I would only buy her a swimsuit if I found one I couldn't live without, and wouldn't you know it, I did :) The bows by her little smiley face are just too cute, and for $12.99 I couldn't resist! She loved it, once I squeezed her little body in there like a sausage.
"Yeah, I like my suit. And I'm on the move!!"
Another shot of Caden and Elijah. Cousin-Friends for sure!
Another cousin-friend; Kaiya, Karen's youngest who is only 3 weeks older. There are definitely some similarities between these two, and they had a blast at the wedding together :)
Another small "milestone" today is that both Elijah and Evelyn had their first solid, solid-food. Tara had some Baby Mum Mum biscuits that Reese doesn't like laying around so I took them home to E2. Elijah couldn't get enough, surprisingly, and Evelyn thought it was mildly entertaining. Poor Andy was shocked to see them with something "so solid" in their mouths! Eating baby food is getting better and better for both babies, we are having a lot of fun in the Heemstra Household!
